About Me

Kris Cain is a Chicago area mom to 2 sets of twins, photography nut, gadget addict, web designer, and blogger who has worked in IT for over 13 years. She has experience building and troubleshooting computers both personally and professionally. She has been a secretary. She has worked an IT help desk fielding calls and troubleshooting software and hardware issues. She has done field support wandering the campus installing, replacing, and troubleshooting hardware and software. There is a good reason why jeans are still her favorite thing to wear. That is what you wear when you have to carry dirty computers all day! And now, she works behind the scenes on the network administration side. Kris is a true geek. She does not just play one on the internet.

On her blog, LittleTechGirl.com she writes about her love of gadgets, social media, and anything else that crosses her mind. You can find her from day to day on Twitter and Facebook. She is Tech Editor on Mom Blog Magazine, Featured Writer on Type-A Parent, Contributing Writer on Blogher.com, and National Apple Gear & Chicago Tech Gear writer on Examiner.com.

Kris has been involved in Social Media for around 10 years. She has experience building web communities for moms, manning forums, web building and more. Her latest project, ChiTownMoms.net is really taking off and becoming a great resource for Chicago area moms.

Kris was a featured speaker at the Type-A Mom conference, 2009, 2010, and 2011. She also spoke at Gleek Retreat 2010 and 2011. She spoke at Blogalicious 2010 and on a panel with other mom bloggers at the Child’s Play Communications Blogger Brunch about working with brands. She has been featured in several articles both online and in print, been interviewed for 2 books, been interviewed for Ebony Magazine, and had her photo show up in Essence Magazine. She has even been on the cover of a local newspaper for Mother’s Day. She has connected with great companies such as AMD, AT&T, Intel, HP, eBay, Keurig, Chevy, Cisco, MSI, Little Debbie, Kenmore, Sears, Western Digital, Google, CNN, Verizon, and more.

Kris figured out a while ago that she was destined to be a busy body really busy (hence the 2 sets of twins), and she has found peace with that.
